First time sailing? Not to worry Back Bay Sailing Adventures features a Cal 39 MKIII. She is a 39-foot sailing yacht with ample room on deck and down below in the salon. The captain and crew will make sure you are comfortable and relaxed.
The entire CAL 39–hull, deck, and interior, is the work of the master, Bill Lapworth, whose classic boats are simply legends. And “classic” isn’t a characteristic a designer applies to a boat, it’s a recognition that the boat must earn.

Captain Harold Britt and his wife Melanie grew up on the coastal waterways and have been sailing in and around Mobile Bay, Orange Beach and the Gulf of Mexico since they were young. They have great regard for the beautiful coastal waterways and the local wildlife. Capt. Britt and Mel love to educate their guests about the area waters and local folklore. They also believe in showing their guest a true sailing experience. “When you book a sailing trip that’s what you should get. No noisy motors or tight sails without wind.” – Capt. Harold.

Captain Gary Little and his wife Robyn grew up in Alabama spending many days boating on the inland and coastal waterways of the state. They have been sailing in and around Mobile Bay, Orange Beach and the Gulf of Mexico for over 20 years. They enjoy exploring the beautiful waters of the Gulf Coast and sharing their love of the area with their guests. Captain Gary enjoys letting first time sailors learn some fundamentals and get some hands-on sailing experience. In addition, more experienced sailors will get an opportunity to hone their skills. They will both do what they can to make sure you have an enjoyable, relaxing and safe sailing experience in the Orange Beach area.
To make your sail experience enjoyable and safe, Hypnautic is a state of the art 38.7-foot Catalina sailboat with the latest in equipment. She features a large comfortable cockpit with 9-foot-long seats on both sides and a folding leaf dining table between. The cockpit is completely covered by a Bimini top to moderate the sun and heat in the summer. Aft there is a walk-through transom with swim ladder and a shower with hot and cold water. In addition, the best seats are the built-in stern rail seats on each side which provide an outstanding all-around view.
